Wk 13- Art Activity- Portfolio Research
This assignment is a bit easier for me because my major is marketing and almost every company needs marketing to succeed.
I wanted to start off with my dream job and that would be getting a job with an NBA preferably my favorite team the Utah Jazz. It is obviously not realistic that I would get a job from an NBA team anytime soon but it is something that I would love to do. The biggest thing that NBA teams do is getting people to buy tickets and pay money to get other things like jerseys and food at the arena, having great marketing will make it easier to do that. But that is not all that NBA teams do they sometimes fundraise or donate to charities, and do things like helping out their community.
The reason why I believe that they would hire me is that fact that I am passionate about basketball and would be able to help market the team. Also, the fact that I am a fan it would be easier for me to recognize what other fans would want. It is definitely a stretch right now but I hope it the future I can work for an NBA team.
Alright, let's get back down to earth with an internship that seems somewhat reasonable with AudioCardio. I really found it interesting what they are doing because it is a mobile app that tries to preserve and strengthen your hearing. They do this by using a proprietary algorithm and mix of sounds to stimulate cells in our ears so they can recognize sounds better. I feel like this will be more important later on because now most people either use earbuds or headphones to listen to music at high volumes and many people will struggle with hearing loss they also really want to help veterans who lost their hearing.
The reason I believe that they would want me for an internship is that they need people who understand social media a little more because they are trying to find communities online who would need their services. One thing that I would recommend to them is trying to cater to gamers because right now they mainly target veterans and music listeners but gamers also use headphones and earbuds and their hearing is important to them.
SolarFi Cares is a non-profit organization that basically tries to help anybody whether it is for healthcare or the Prive which is a social distancing glass house that is the main reason for the internship. It is meant to make dinning safer during covid and has a lot of features like Bluetooth, ventilation, and charging stations. This is important because having a safe way to dine will be important if restaurants want to stay in business.
Similar to the other internship they need someone who is more social media savvy because they want to grow their name to get a bigger reach. They also said that they want someone who can think outside the box and first off that is very funny and second I believe that I can think outside the box and come up with ideas to spread the word on the Prive and also maybe to improve the design
